Lunch Events around Ireland

To mark the European disability day, December 3rd, PwDI is organising a series of countrywide lunch events for local employers. The lunches aim to

enhance employment opportunities for people with disabilities
to present employers with the supports available to them when they employ a person with a disability

Lunches will take place in most counties around Ireland and are organised by local PwDI networks. We hope the events give employers the chance to get together and find out what they can do to make a real difference to the lives of people with disabilties.

Information and examples of good practise

Guest speaker from the area will open each event. Employers attending the event will also be shown a short DVD film. The DVD features people with disabilities in the workplace as well as interviews with their colleagues and employers.

In addition, each guest will be presented with detailed information pack on supports available for employers. The pack will contain following information:
