What can PwDI do for you?

Membership

As a national organisation with over 30 Networks, PwDI is for all people with disabilities, whether those disabilities are physical, emotional, intellectual or mental. We also want to include parents, carers, partners and groups and organisations of people with disabilities.

As a member of PwDI you will benefit from:

A voice in the decision making process that affects you
Improved lobbying and advocacy skills
The full resources of a national cross-disability organisation
The support of your local network and other local disability organisation in addressing local issues
The right to communicate using your chosen method or format

PwDI was set up to give you a chance to take part and influence the decision making process. Join us to make sure your voice is heard!

You must be over 18 years of age to join Panels A, B1, C1, C2. Membership to Panel D is open to all ages.

People with Disabilities (Panel A)
Groups/organisations of Parents/Partners/Relatives (Panel B1)
Advocates of persons with learning or mental/emotional disabilities (Panel B2)
Local branches of National Organisations (Panel C1)
Local groups of people with disabilities / Groups of people with disabilities part of larger organisation (Panel C2)
Associate Members - non voting (Panel D)

N.B: Groups/Organisations - Please enclose description of activities and a copy of Constitution or Memorandum and Articles of Association with your application.

Completion Requirements
(1) The PwDI logo MUST be on the form.
(2) The completed details on the form must be an original copy; photocopies will not be accepted.
(3) The relevant boxes relating to the Applicant MUST be ‘ticked’
(4) The full address must be furnished
(5) Date of birth
(6) Telephone number.
(7) Nature of Disability
(8) Completed form must be signed and dated by the Applicant.
