Blanchardstown library was the venue for the Dublin visit. Blanchardstown is on the outskirts of the capital and the day exploded into action at 10.30a.m. with the arrival of the GARDA (police) brass band who entertained us all - this is a band not to be missed.
Minister of State, Willie O'Dea officially welcomed the Bus to Dublin and the Cathaoirleach (chairman) of the local council Michael Kennedy also welcomed the bus to his county. The other guest speakers were Angela Kerins, chairperson of the National Disability Authority and Michael Ringrose, CEO of People with Disabilities in Ireland.
The day was packed with events, such as

A number of disability organisations were on hand to answer questions and we estimate that over 800 people attended the day.
