"I like to use the landscape as a metaphor for change, in reality nothing stays still, there is always constant ebb and flux, the altered states of the seasons, endings and new beginnings. Some pieces of work have a dreamlike quality to them, describing something ephemeral, a fleeting moment or emotion, others describe change. I was always interested in the use of collage, placing different objects and photographs, rubbings and paintings together to make a whole."
