The main goal of the year is to raise awareness of and promote the rights of disabled people: the rights to full and equal participation in all areas of their lives. EYPD is also about breaking the barriers that hinder the lives of people with disabilities.
Disability is an issue of concern to many of us and it is now time for all of us to work together and build a society that includes everyone! Thousands of events are being organised around Europe in 2003 from street theatre to conferences and art exhibitions to workshops.
