‘FOR DIVERSITY. AGAINST DISCRIMINATION’

The European Commission is organising the second ‘For Diversity. Against Discrimination’ media awards. The aim of the awards is to recognise the contribution made by journalists to a better understanding of the benefits of diversity and the fight against discrimination in employment.
The Journalist Award will feature two different award categories:
• Print and online journalism
• Photo journalism
In each award category, media professionals and anti-discriminatory experts will select 25 national award winners. An EU jury will then choose three winners for each category. Entries will be judged according to their news value, relevance, complexity of research and preparation, originality, creativity and quality of the article as well as their significance for the general public.
The three winners of each category will win a study trip to an EU country of their choice.

1st Prize: A trip worth €3,000
2nd Prize: A trip worth €2,000
3rd Prize: A trip worth €1,000
