PwDI would like to congratulate all employers who won awards at the recent O2 Ability Awards. PwDI has been advocating for such an awards scheme for some time and were delighted to be part of the judging process.
The glittering event had many special guests, including An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern TD, Roy Keane and Andrea Corr TD. Chief Executives from 50 companies received Awards under different categories. The main winners were:
Recruitment and Selection- Sth Dublin County Council
Career Development- Jurys Doyle Hotel Group
Leadership- Dublin Bus
Customer Service- National Aquatic Centre
Environmental Accessibility- Public Appointment Service
Overall winners were Kerry County Council in the public service category and Superquinn in the private sector. PwDI's Kerry Network got special mention for the level of co-operation established between it and Kerry County Council.
