TWO BOARD MEMBERS JOIN PwDI STAFF!

The National Chairman of PwDI, Nigel Brander and the Vice-Chairperson, Lotti McClure, have both recently joined the organisation as National Support Officers (NSOs).
Both stepped down from their Board position at the February National Board meeting in order to take u their positions. Galway Board member Mary Mulryan has taken over as Acting Chairperson. Both posts will be filled at the next meeting of the National Board in Tullamore on April 28 and 29.
Nigel Brander will be NSO for the South-East while Lotti McClure will look after the western counties. They will join current NSOs Gealdine Moylen who is assigned to the North-East and Dublin and Dermot Hayes who looks after the Munster counties.
Commenting on the appointments PwDI Chief Executive Michael Ringrose said both new NSOs would bring a vast and diverse range of experience to PwDI.
He said it showed that PwDI was an independent organisation of people who represented themselves and who looked after themselves at all levels.
"Nigel Brander has many years of experience in dealing with disability and in representing PwDI at all levels both at home and at the United Nations in New York.
"Similarly, Lotti McClure brings over 20 years of experience to PwDI including her distinct insight into how disability is treated in the United States."
Both new appointees have already taken up their positions.
